Subject: lilypond: midi2ly reports error on line 60 (no module named lilylib)

i tried to convert the midi file located at:
http://members.aol.com/alshymns/GodIsMyStrongSalvation.mid

but this is what i get:

$ midi2ly /tmp/GodIsMyStrongSalvation.mid
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/midi2ly", line 60, in ?
    import lilylib as ly
ImportError: No module named lilylib
$

no lilypond file is ever created.
