Not a good idea. There are always changes between the driver versions. The manpages of the 8.24.8 version do not necessarily fit the version 8.31.5 too. This should be reflected by the version printed in the manpages. But the version shown above is not the latest version available, so the manpages could be updated in the package in experimental (and in Etch too!). @Flavio: I sent you the updated manpages for the current version in Etch some time ago.
