Bug#406144: mc: segfaults if trying to enter a directory owned by root (attempted by a regular user)

2007-01-12 Thread Andreas Tille

Hi,

I tried:

 $ sudo mkdir testdir
 $ sudo chmod 700 testdir
 $ mc
 ... try to change into testdir

---   Error
   Cannot change directory

So I can not reproduce your problem. Could you please
provide more info?

Kind regards and thanks for using Midnight Commander

   Andreas.

Bug#406144: mc: segfaults if trying to enter a directory owned by root (attempted by a regular user)

2007-01-08 Thread Eddy Petrişor
Package: mc
Version: 1:4.6.1-6
Severity: important

Hello,

Previous (ancient?) versions of mc didn't segfault if a chdir is
attempted on some directories in which only the root user has
access. Instead they gave a nice warning.
