I looked at the CVS repo Bruno pointed to, but I don't know where the fix needs to be applied... (damn CVS for not having a history per repo like SVN :-) ). Bruno, could you, please, tell us specifically which files were touched? That would help us a lot. Wouter Verhelst a écrit : The first and the final stage of each level are okay; but the second stage no longer works the way it should (it used to work about two years ago, but I haven't been playing the game since quite a while, and just now I discovered that it's broken). Hi, This regression bug was introduced in the 0.80 release. This version of Powermanga have a PowerPC big-endian bug in the reading of the files levels. This bug was fixed in CVS: http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=20416 Thank you for this bug report. -- Bruno Ethvignot http://linux.tlk.fr/contact/

I can confirm this, I have seen it on my powerbook about a half a yaer ago, but I thought that the game was not finished and is the normal thing since I never played a working version. Also, if I am not confusing things (sorry if I do and disregard this paragraph, if so), I thought it was the normal behaviour because at some point it says something about a trial version or something like that. - -- Regards, EddyP = Imagination is more important than knowledge A.Einstein -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFF3aYFY8Chqv3NRNoRAt8LAKC6fMKPiHNzRYBBmhjAMywNGTu4nwCcDIks GNfghMdU2zrqrYQnmA1h1v4= =nHHV -END PGP SIGNATURE- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#411934: Misbehaves on PowerPC
Package: powermanga Version: 0.80-dfsg-1 Severity: important Hi, Powermanga has three stages of gameplay per level: in the first, enemies enter the screen one at a time (or in small groups in the higher levels). In the second stage, many enemies enter the screen from above in a formation, and shoot down towards the player. In the final stage, inert objects along with enemies drop down from above and the player has to destroy them (or they will destroy the player). The first and the final stage of each level are okay; but the second stage no longer works the way it should (it used to work about two years ago, but I haven't been playing the game since quite a while, and just now I discovered that it's broken). It's hard to describe what exactly is going wrong, but at first glance it would appear that some sort of timeout is not working as it should. The exact failure mode differs between each level; however, it is constant across different games. Unfortunately, the bug also results in a situation in about the third or fourth level where it is impossible to finish the second stage; as a result, the game sits there and it is impossible to complete it. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: powerpc (ppc) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-4-powerpc Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages powermanga depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.1.1-21 GCC support library ii libsdl-mixer1.2 1.2.6-1.1+b2 mixer library for Simple DirectMed ii libsdl1.2debian 1.2.11-8 Simple DirectMedia Layer ii libstdc++6 4.1.1-21 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii powermanga-data 0.80-dfsg-1 graphics and audio data for powerm powermanga recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
