libinstrudeo0 (as used by screenkast) doesn't include the directory /usr/share/libinstrudeo, which is searched for fonts and textballoon objects. If you try to add a textballoon, the program gives an error it can't load a font, and an error saying "error while accessing a generic commentbox". cp -R debian/tmp/user/share/libinstrudeo to /usr/share (from within the apt-get source'd directory of libinstrudeo) solves the problem.
