According to ploticus doc: <http://ploticus.sourceforge.net/doc/api.html>, it's possible to compile a 'libploticus API' (i.e. libploticus.a). It would be interesting to included in a package. (personaly I am interested in because this <http://rubyforge.org/projects/rploticus> need it.)
