Do you have any other examples? For the 'subst' case I have an easy explanation. Typing 'isubst' will perform a substring match on the word subst in the index, which will match the following items: * portability, substr function: String Functions. (line 457) * substr function: String Functions. (line 426) * troubleshooting, substr function: String Functions. (line 444) You probably want the second item, but the first is at the bottom of the same page. When you type for 'isubst<tab>' it will autocomplete to the index item you want.
