Bug#432754: [Suspend-devel] uswsusp: Freeze after resume with kernels 2.6.21 and 2.6.22

If the issue is still there, please file a bug at bugzilla.kernel.org. (I can help you with that if you'd like, but it is easier debugging if you do it) After testing, it seems the problem is not reproducible with 2.6.23-rc5. I will make further testing during the coming days and let you know. I had totally forgotten this bug, all my apologies for this! I now run 2.6.23 kernel from the Debian Kernel team trunk archive, and everything is ok. The bug can thus be closed once the final 2.6.23 kernel is uploaded to unstable. Cheers, Julien

Greetings, Rafael = Hi, s2ram works ok with the Debian 2.6.18.4 kernel image, but fails to resume with 2.6.21 and 2.6.22-rc7 (from the kernel-archive trunk). I have managed to take a picture of a soft lock up with the 2.6.21 kernel, but I can't always see this message. The freeze happens a few seconds after the resume (2 to 7 seconds), both in console and in X. Most of the time (but not always), sysrq magic keys work. I have tried to see something in the logs, but haven't been able to identify something interesting. I would be happy to debug this issue, but don't know what I can do. Julien, Could you please retry with 2.6.23-rc (or final). If the issue is still there, please file a bug at bugzilla.kernel.org. (I can help you with that if you'd like, but it is easier debugging if you do it) grts Tim signature.asc Description: PGP signature
