Hi,
When I try to install it I get:

dpkg: error processing 
/var/cache/apt/archives/device-tree-compiler_0.1~git20070226-1_powerpc.deb 
(--unpack):
 trying to overwrite `/usr/bin/ftdump', which is also in package freetype2-demos

Thanks for the report. This tool will be discarded upstream, so
either I will remove it or put it under /usr/lib/device-tree-compiler/
in the next upload.
