Bug#438409: docker: Docker locks up the whole system

2008-06-07 Thread Sam Morris
severity 438409 important
thanks

I am downgrading this bug because it doesn't make the package unusable
for everyone. There is an easy workaround (don't use docker).

I suggest the submitter forward this bug upstream so that NVIDIA can
work on a fix. Until then, however, it should not prevent Lenny from
being released without NVIDIA drivers.

Bug#438409: docker: Docker locks up the whole system

2007-08-16 Thread Joonas Sarajärvi
Package: docker
Version: 1.4-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Running Docker seems to lock up the system at times. I was running
Openbox, Gnome-terminal, Audacious and Epiphany. From Gnome-terminal I
ran Docker with this:
docker
And my X freezed completely. Ctrl+alt+backspace or ctrl+alt+f1 didn't
help. Finally did a hard reboot.

I've had this happen several times now. At some point, Docker did seem
to work but when I was trying to set up autostart and had to restart it
a few times, it locked up the first time.

Sometimes I can restart X with ctrl+alt+backspace when Docker freezes,
but usually can't.

The video card is an MSI card with Nvidia's 7300 GS GPU.

If you're not using the nVidia proprietary driver, please reassign this
bug to xserver-xorg-video-nv.
