I agree this would be nice, bug it is also the job of the presentation tool to disable the screensaver. However many video players, games etc. still fail to do that. They often blame SDL to be responsible for disabling the screensaver. I've been resorting to killing gnome-screensaver, so an inhibit tool would still be nice. Also not always you're doing presentations with a dedicated presentation software. For example, Firefox-based presentation tools have become a Hype... do you want firefox to inhibit the screensaver?
