Bug#458008: gs-esp: gs crash on ps generated by xpdf
It was ages ago :-). Now I am using different distro, and my poppler version is libpoppler7 0.14.3-0ubuntu1.1 I haven't seen the bug any more (for some months from the event I used different pdf vievers, and later I returned to xpdf without problems). This makes a 99.9% belief that the bug disappeared. (and 0.1% that it just hides somewhere, patiently waiting). Tim and Jacek, do you remember what versions of xpdf were affected? Does current poppler-utils work? The PS file I had posted was most likely generated by xpdf on Sid back in December 2007. My print server was running testing, but my desktop always runs Sid. I don't have the know-how to check what versions were around in the past. I checked changelog.Debian.gz in the documentation directory. More precise information might be available in /var/log/dpkg.log.* but probably not in this case (since that was a long time ago).
