Bug#460607: [FTBFS] Empty PO/POT files

2008-01-14 Thread Ross Burton
severity 460607 normal
thanks

As far as I'm aware, pkgstriptranslations is an Ubuntu thing so I'm not
exactly rushing to apply this patch. I have raised the issue with
upstream so the next release will hopefully either have translations, or
no translation framework.

Bug#460607: [FTBFS] Empty PO/POT files

2008-01-13 Thread Marco Rodrigues

Package: gupnp
Severity: important
User: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Usertags: origin-ubuntu hardy

Hi!

This was a build with pbuilder. The error:

pkgstriptranslations: processing control file:
./debian/libgupnp-1.0-0-dbgsym/DEBIAN/control, package libgupnp-1.0-0-dbgsym,
directory ./debian/libgupnp-1.0-0-dbgsym

pkgstriptranslations: libgupnp-1.0-0-dbgsym does not contain translations,
skipping
pkgstriptranslations: The following PO/POT files are empty. This is known to
cause trouble in the translation importer and generally indicates a package
bug:

./po/libgupnp.pot
make: *** [binary-strip-IMPL/libgupnp-1.0-0] Error 1

I've attached a patch to fix this problem. The patch was been done by MMichael
Bienia.

Thanks
