Hmhm, you mean it crashes only when you select the second panel? What if
you first select the ÿÿPanel 2ÿÿ to configure? Does it crashes too?
Yes, if we select "panel 2" and try to move it from monitor 0 to
monitor 1, xfce4-panel crashes as well.
If you re-run xfce4-panel (Alt+F2, xfce4-panel), is the panel correctly
positionned?
The panel appears on monitor 0. If we try to move it to monitor 1 via
the xfce4-mcs-manager panel control, we see the same crash.
If you run xfce4-panel from a terminal, do you see some
output when it crashes?
Yes, the output is:
---
The program 'xfce4-panel' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
(Details: serial 16627 error_code 8 request_code 56 minor_code 0)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error()
function.)

The .xsession-errors files has these messages which appear before
we try to fiddle with the panel:

In a previous session we also saw many of these warnings, which appear
in the .xsession-errors after xfce3-panel exited with the message above:
