kthxbye

Hi again,

I wrote:
 since

 a) the link to the suggested Python client on
http://paste.debian.net/paste.pl?show_template=clients is dead, and

 b) pastebinit has support for paste.debian.net since 2008 (see
http://bugs.debian.org/483381),

and therefore the requested functionality is already in Debian, I'm
 herewith closing this bug.

After feedback from formorer on IRC (he runs paste.debian.net) it
seems that the perl client mentioned on
http://paste.debian.net/paste.pl?show_template=clients, too, is the
better choice anyway and has also support for stuff, pastebinit can't
do.

So I reopen the bug again, just with a slightly different title.

Regards, Axel

I'm surprised to read this. Actually paste.debian.net or similar
services are recommended in IRC channels to paste configurations
or error messages etc. when requesting support. Its even in the
topics for some of our user channels. So its quiet obvious why
its useful for other users.

Hello,

thanks for maintaining debian-goodies.

Here [http://paste.debian.net/paste.pl?show_template=clients] is a
python script to paste to paste.debian.net: I think it fits
debian-goodies quite well, maybe renamed as 'debpaste'.

The author has been asked if he's ok with the inclusion and he gave the
go ahead.

Ciao,

Erico
