Package: git-core Version: 1:1.5.5.2-1 Severity: wishlist With multi-core machines, it makes looking for deltas multiple times faster. I use a custom git with that setting enabled without any notable issues. Given that packing takes most of its time in looking for good deltas, this is a huge win.
