Bug#491879: similar problem

I have similar problem on my debian desktops. It has happend after one
of Lenny's actualisation. Kwin doesnt start every second time. I
logoff and login and its bad, do it again and its ok... I thought its
some old user's config files problem but made new user account and its
same story.

lenny? are you using version Version: 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-2 or 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4?
