Bug#492980: v-sim: V_Sim crashes on exporting a picture

2008-08-07 Thread Damien Caliste
Hello,

Can you confirm that the workaround reported in this bug report
  works for you ?
Yes, I can confirm that! Exporting to all formats provided works fine
 now.
This bug has been also triggered by the glxpixmap demo file of mesa, as
reported in this thread:
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9200
Exporting to pixmap is not implemented with hardware acceleration and
the software should handle this by itself, see:
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11162

I will correct this in V_Sim, wait for a patch...

Damien.

Bug#492980: v-sim: V_Sim crashes on exporting a picture

2008-07-30 Thread ferdinand . rissner
Package: v-sim
Version: 3.3.3-1
Severity: normal

Hi,

first of all, thank you for this wonderful program!

When I try to export a picture using any of the possible formats, V_Sim
crashes with the following message:

---
Warning, xpress200 detected.
Warning, xpress200 detected.
The program 'v_sim' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'GLXBadContext'.
  (Details: serial 23 error_code 154 request_code 143 minor_code 5)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error()
function.)
---

Thank you,
Ferdinand

Hello Ferdinand,

It seems to be the same bug as in #492869.
Can you confirm that the workaround reported in this bug report works
for you ?

Thanks!
Sylvestre
