I am using extlinux, which is why I don't need mtools/dosfstools.
People who use syslinux, or the other variants, where mtools/dosfstools
are useble, probably are ware of that, and don't use mtools/dosfstools
only because of syslinux.

Bug#499848: Please revert the dependcies on {mtools,dosfstools}

Version: 3.71+dfsg-5
Severity: wishlist

Up to 3.71+dfsg-3 there were no dependencies on {mtools,dosfstools}.
Since {mtools,dosfstools} are utilities, it is likely that whoever
needs it will know to install it. Therefore, why force everyone to
install packages that they don't use?
