Your RC bug (#500171) appears to be solvable now with the upload of flex 
(2.5.35-3) (#501960 was blocking), I  recommend an upload of a new package 
with a Build Depend against flex (= 2.5.35-3) should be able to close this 
bug.

No, please don't upload just for that. This is a transient condition,
and we don't normally bump versions in build-dependencies to work
against buggy versions.

I'll give back apertium on ia64 now. (Though then it'll get caught on
the pcre3 shlibs bump; I'll take care of that as well.)
