If you want to find a solution, then I can take a deeper look into this, but in my opinion you should close this bug. Fullscreen applications in combination with xrandr was always a problem. My problem is slightly different, but very likely related, so I'm replying to this report. The bug seems to be in SDL, which is why I filed it there: #500314. Does this error still occur with ScummVM 0.13.1? Please retest with ScummVM 1.0rc1, available in testing and unstable. I retested, and it is indeed still present.
