Hi, The next release of Debian (6.0, code name Squeeze) will be based on 2.6.32. Please test the current 2.6.32 from unstable/testing and tell us whether the problem persists. If so, we should report it upstream to the kernel.org developers. The 2.6.32 kernel is available from packages.debian.org and can be installed in both Debian stable, testing and unstable installations. I closed the lid and reopened it a few minutes ago, and the bug didn't reappear. So, it is not always reproducible. Perhaps I just had bad luck the last two times and the bug was present a long time ago. Still, there's a bug. -- Vincent Lefèvre vinc...@vinc17.org - Web: http://www.vinc17.org/ 100% accessible validated (X)HTML - Blog: http://www.vinc17.org/blog/ Work: CR INRIA - computer arithmetic / Arenaire project (LIP, ENS-Lyon) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-powerpc Version: 2.6.26-12 Severity: important When I close the lid of my PowerBook G4, the disk spins down, but the machine is still on (I can see the light from the Apple logo). What's strange is that I closed the lid every night the few days before, and I didn't have any problem.
