Bug#515918: cups: prints raw source of PDF files

Hello all, Paul van Tilburg [2009-03-02 13:47 +0100]: When I update cups to the current Sid version now, it seems to work fine. Maybe it was related to the temporary foomatic/HPijs/...-mess in Sid? I think the bug can be closed, but I'd rather leave that up to you. Right, this got fixed with foomatic-filters 4.0 which was uploaded to unstable today. I'll fix cups' dependencies accordingly. Bug#515918: cups: prints raw source of PDF files
Hi, I have the same problem with cups_1.3.9-14_amd64 and HP DeskJet 4180 printer. Even test page is printed as PDF source. Downgrading to cups_1.3.8-1lenny4.1_amd64 solves the problem. The only difference to Paul's problem is that my printer is connected locally to USB. I'm attaching the PPD file I'm using. Bug#515918: cups: prints raw source of PDF files
Package: cups Version: 1.3.9-13 Severity: normal Hi, Since I upgraded to cups 1.3.9-13, whenever I print a PDF from Evince or the commandline using 'lp'. The printer produces lots and lots of pages of PDF source instead of the actual PDF: %PDF-1.3 %1234 % This file was generated by pdftopdf [...] Since the 0.3.9-14 changelog mentioned something related to a pdftopdf patch, I tried upgrading, but the problem is still there.
