Bug#515936: coreutils: touch fails on etch's kernel

2009-02-18 Thread Adam Borowski
Package: coreutils
Version: 6.12-1
Severity: important

After upgrading coreutils from 6.10 (lenny) to 6.12, touch stopped
working, failing with:

touch: setting times of `/tmp/aa': Function not implemented

The kernel is 2.6.18 (etch), on 2.6.26 everything works ok. Libc is 2.7-18
(lenny), /proc is mounted, both systems are vserver guests (in case that
matters).

6.12-2 (just uploaded) works around this issue. IMO it's a glibc bug,
but I won't argue about it. :-)
