Control: tags 519361 patch Hi,
This has been bothering me for years, as well. The attached patch excludes backup files (*~). I don't have problems with emacs crashing, but the second patch addresses those files (#*#) also, in 1.1.8-3.7. As an alternative, Daniel's suggestion about a standard suffix is a good one.
