Bug#523224: libnet-jabber-perl: changing back from ITA to O

retitle 523224 O: libnet-jabber-perl -- Perl modules for accessing the Jabber
protocol
noowner 523224
thanks

Hi,

This is an automatic email to change the status of libnet-jabber-perl back from
ITA
(Intent to Adopt) to O (Orphaned), because this bug hasn't seen any activity
during the last 6 months.

If you are still interested in adopting libnet-jabber-perl, please send a mail
to
cont...@bugs.debian.org with:

retitle 523224 ITA: libnet-jabber-perl -- Perl modules for accessing the
Jabber protocol
 owner 523224 !
 thanks

However, it is not recommended to keep ITA for a long time without acting on
the package, as it might cause other prospective maintainers to refrain from
adopting the package. It is also a good idea to document your progress on this
ITA from time to time, by mailing 523...@bugs.debian.org.

Thank you for your interest in Debian,

Bug#523224: libnet-jabber-perl: changing back from ITA to O

2011-02-19 Thread Jonathan Yu
Note to anyone attempting to take over this package:

It has been sitting in our repository for quite some time, due to a
request for copyright info from upstream that is still pending. I
suppose either upstream doesn't use the RT or the upstream libraries
aren't very well maintained.

Perhaps it is a thought to have this package removed from Debian altogether.

For details, please see https://rt.cpan.org/Ticket/Display.html?id=59761

Cheers,

Jonathan
