Bug#525123: xserver-xorg-video-intel on Intel 82852/855GM: display corrupted

2011-02-22 Thread Cyril Brulebois
Hi Joe,

Joe ergotma...@googlemail.com (10/05/2009):
I accidently found a more reasonable workaround for this. Adding
the option NoDri to xorg.conf fixes the display corruption
problem. No need for multiple starts.

what's the status on squeeze or sid? Make sure you read the intel bits
in our FAQ:

Bug#525123: xserver-xorg-video-intel on Intel 82852/855GM: display corrupted

2009-08-20 Thread Andrew Pimlott
Following up on my message to this bug When I upgraded to driver
version 2.8.0, I had terrible performance. I reported it as bug 541117.
It turned out that I had to re-enable dri to fix that. Fortunately, I
don't see this bug any more!

Bug#525123: xserver-xorg-video-intel on Intel 82852/855GM: display corrupted

2009-05-11 Thread Andrew Pimlott
I observe the same on my Thinkpad X40, and use the workaround of
disabling DRI (thanks Joe!). This is the first version of the -intel
driver I've tried; the -i810 driver worked fine.

Bug#525123: xserver-xorg-video-intel on Intel 82852/855GM: display corrupted

2009-04-22 Thread Joe Dennigan
Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel
Version: 2:2.7.0-1

On starting X the display is scrambled. To correct this, I have to edit
xorg.conf to disable EXA and enable UXA. X then starts normally but
lines of text in apps like abiword and the emacs splash screen are
corrupted into pixel high lines of dots. Reverting xorg.conf to the
original state and restarting X now fixes all problems. That is, on the
third startup all works normally until the next system reboot.

This problem does not arise when using the vesa driver.

Complete xorg.conf:
