Bug#534251: git-email: should support GnuPG signing and/or encryption

2018-03-17 Thread Georg Faerber
Hi all,

Anybody knows if this is possible nowadays? Didn't had any success
researching this. In case this is not supported:

- Is there an upstream ticket tracking this?
- Does a workaround exist to get emails signed, in a convenient way?

Cheers,
Georg

Bug#534251: git-email: should support GnuPG signing and/or encryption

2009-06-22 Thread Francesco Poli (t1000)
Package: git-email
Version: 1:1.6.3.1-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi and thanks for maintaining git in Debian!

I think the subject says it all: it would be great if the git
'send-email' command could send PGP/MIME signed and/or encrypted
messages, by using GnuPG.
This would improve patch integrity and author identification
(through signing) and possibly privacy (through ecryption), when needed.

Can this be implemented?
Please forward this bug report to upstream, if appropriate.
