Any progress with this?

The current development release is 0.6.02, released July 8, 2009, it
contains some very useful features, such as Checkpoint/Restart
capabilities, which would fix at least one bug in the BTS. Uploading
this version to Experimental would be a useful exercise IMHO.

i'm not happy with the idea of maintaining three versions (lenny's ancient
one, testing/unstable and an experimental one), especially as in the recent
past even the major version switches haven't caused much breakage.

Makes sense.

i will therefore package 0.6, test it and upload it for unstable+testing,
likely followed by an etch-backport build as well.

I like that idea, since 0.6 is getting all the interesting things now.

Bug#537260: Please update duplicity package

2009-07-30 Thread Ross Burton
Alexander,

How is updating duplicity going? I'm working on packaging deja-dup
which requires duplicity 0.5.17 or greater (.16 has some debugging left
in which causes an exception).

packaging and testing was done a week ago, but dak ate my
upload of 0.6.2 (no error mails but no appearance in the pool, and a stuck
orig tarball that i can't remove which makes reupload fail) and the
dak-admins were unhelpful (as in: no response whatsoever to my emails).

i'm going to upload 0.6.3 tonight, hoping that things work out this time.
