Setting $conf[calendar][driver] to SQL will make the error messages vanish again. (NB: Debian use a different packaging than Gentoo. kolab-webclient is a meta package depending on all necessary horde apps ; Gentoo package is made from the horde-groupware-webmail tarball with patches.)
