the bug you reported is still present in a more current version (and - if yes

I used to also have that problem but it seems to be working fine now.

Bug#543762: Crash of Juk and amarok at startup when using phonon-backend-xine

2009-08-26 Thread Thomas Blein
Package: phonon-backend-xine
Version: 4:4.3.1-4
Severity: important

Hello,

When I would like to start Amarok or Juk when phonon use xine backend they
crash. However in the system-settings panel when I press test with the xine
backend it produce some sound. In the same way Xine it self is able to work.

If I switch to the gstreamer backend both Amarok and Juk are able to start.

Attached is the backtrace I obtained from the KDE crash handler when I try to
launch Juk. It is not so nice, since I do not know which additional debug-
symbol I must install.

Best regards,

Thomas Blein
