The pc is ON, and suddenly: crash / or power cut off. Iceweasel does not like it. It was possible under Stable Lenny, for sure. Please make it something very easy: popup window that opens and several solutions to chose (please avoid console solutions) Greetings Y.

And I see really no reason why iceweasel wouldn't start, with or without the -safe-mode option. In the worst case scenario, it could lose bookmarks, cookies, which can be annoying, but still start. So, can you try running the following from the console ( ;) ): strace -f -o /tmp/strace.log iceweasel And send the /tmp/strace.log file here ? Package: iceweasel Version: iceweasel -safe-mode not working, how to do internet after cold reset, in SQUEEZE Severity: normal I put grave for the bug, because we cannot run the program. So please remove this console solution to do internet: -safe-mode or eventually leave please the possibility for normal users to select safe mode with a X prompt , instead of the OK, which has no relevance. Thank you, iceweasel did rock in Lenny Stable.
