Dear Maintainer,

As I no longer use KDE4 but have used Geany with GNOME and XFCE4 for the

Bug#556532: geany: Find and Replace dialogs text fields grayed out

2009-11-16 Thread Nate Bargmann
Package: geany
Version: 0.18-1
Severity: important

I am using Geany in KDE4 with the gtk2-engines-qtcurve, gtk-qt-engine,
kde-style-qtcurve, and kwin-style-qtcurve packages installed. I'm not
sure if this is related to those packages or not, but when I open the
dialogs for either Find or Replace, the text entry fields are grayed
out and cannot be selected by the mouse. Other controls in the respective
dialogs work and are accessable. The Find box in the tool bar is accessible
and works as expected.

I have not found any other GTK based program that has these problems
although I only use a few.

The Find and Replace dialogs contain GtkComboBoxEntry widgets which
provide a text entry paired with a combo box to show previous items.
The only non-standard thing we do is to set the font for the text entry
to Monospace.

I'm not sure whether this is really a Geany bug or rather a bug in one
of your many theme stuff. Did you try disabling/uninstalling this?

On a clean system, it works.

Regards,
Enrico
