Package: spambayes Version: 1.0.4-5.1 Severity: normal
Spambayes calls pythons 'generator.py', this defaults to mangling emails by quoting lines matching "From ". ie, mboxo format as referred to here: http://homepages.tesco.net/J.deBoynePollard/FGA/mail-mbox-formats.html As a filter, spambayes should never need to alter the message body! Request that spambayes sets mangle_from_ to false when calling generator.py. Note that this bug is detailed upstream at https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=2908573&group_id=61702&atid=498103 It has been fixed in the 1.1.x development branch, this bug is only to request a back port to the 1.0.4 release in debian as there is no timeline for the 1.1x series currently. cheers .../Nemo -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers stable APT policy: (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-xen-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages spambayes depends on: ii python 2.5.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-central 0.6.11 register and build utility for Pyt spambayes recommends no packages. spambayes suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
