Salut, On 01/06/12 14:22, Arnaud Quette wrote: > could you please quickly check how it behaves and report back? Same results as the packaged version: both an appicon and a window appear (the window's background is transparent); if I try to dock the appicon, kill the program and then restart it, the icon in the dock is ignored and a new appicon is created. I'm going to try moving my current GNUstep directory out of the way and report back on that. These 3 are reserved to the windowed mode. And they were causing the forced windowed mode behavior you're experiencing... I'll check for the patch and upload, but later. I'm a bit tired now (just back from a municipal council...) cheers, Arno

No, really there is a default "dock" in plain openbox. I just meant that wm* applets that work in openbox support a "withdrawn" mode. -- http://www.cruisefish.net -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". I can confirm this issue, and I've even tried with awn. wmnut is an old school dock app. it doesn't support FreeDesktop System Tray Protocol. which means that it won't work with modern docks. that's for the bad news. now, for the good news: - you should try NUT Monitor 1.2. it adds a notification icon that fits nicely into most Notification Area applets, and is developed by a French friend: http://www.lestat.st/informatique/projets/nut-monitor - you, probably due to your name, gave me the final reason to test openbox (+awn) and fix that wmnut mess. I will soon check to make a NUT applet to solve that lack. which dock are you using btw? cheers, Arnaud -- Linux / Unix Expert R&D - Eaton - http://www.eaton.com/mgeops Network UPS Tools (NUT) Project Leader - http://www.networkupstools.org/ Debian Developer - http://www.debian.org Free Software Developer - http://arnaud.quette.free.fr/
