Package: rtorrent Version: 0.8.5-1 Severity: wishlist Hi,
when I wake up in the morning I usualy scan for new torrents to download and download them into my queue directory that rtorrent watches. Rtorrent then starts to leech all those torrents at the same time. Since the torrents are fast enough to saturate my bandwidth each on its own I would like to download them one after the other. That way torrents can be seeded earlier and the filesystem would not fragment as much. So what I would like would be a setting to limit the number of leeching torrents allowed and have any extra torrents queued up for later download. The setting should be changeable at runtime as sometimes I do have slower torrents as well. It would also be nice if the queue order where managable. At a minimum the torrents priority should be considered when picking the next torrent to leech. As extra feature there could be a speed limit to say when a torrent is "slow" and the leech limit would only count "fast" torrents. New torrents would start of as "fast" and after maybe 5 minutes they could drop into the "slow" group if they didn't exceed the speed limit.
