Thanks Anton, but I think I´ve a partial solution to this issue. A
friend of mine (Rogério Brito, debian mantainer of some packages) told
me how he solved this problem: just adding i915.modeset=0 to the
kernel (2.6.32-trunk) line in grub solves the problem, at least
partially.

Partially I say, because when console-setup is installed the boot
process ends at random virtual console, not in tty1 as before.

Then this must be a duplicate of #567563.  See also #561008.

I´ll check this bugs as soon as I can.

 Anton Zinoviev

Thanks, Alexandre.

 No, this is different problem.

Ok.

Please, give information about the following:

 1. The model of your video-card.

It's the intel GMA 950 (I also have another intel chipset with the same problem)

 2. The X driver you are using (for example xserver-xorg-video-intel or
the proprietary driver of Nvidia).  The exact version of the package.

I use the intel driver above, version 2.9.1-2, as aptitude says.
xserver-xorg version is 7.5+3.

 3. Does this problem occur only if console-setup is not installed?

It happens with or without console-setup installed. BTW, after removal
of console-setup the console font returned to an older one (after some
console-setup upgrade it installed terminus as the console font).

 Anton Zinoviev

Thanks in advance, Alexandre.

No, this is different problem.

More precisely, when I close X (usually running fluxbox) all I get is a
black screen in every virtual console and can't get back to X anyway.
The only way I found to get a console again is to reboot (after closing X
keyboard answer to commmands like logout and CTRL+ALT+DEL)
