Bug#571138: Info received (Bug#571138: iceweasel: random crashes at page/tab close of Iceweasel and iceape)
COuple of things I forgot to mention earlier. 1. the crash occurs only while closing tabs. Holding the mouse with button pressed, over the tab close button seems to reduce chances of a crash. But the crash is random. 2. When I ran iceweasel under gdb, the app crashed, but the window did not close. The tab was closed, but contents of closed tab did not go away, and instead continued to be displayed in the open tab. Actual contents of the open tab were not displayed. 3. Even seemingly simple sites seem to cause crash. eg:- http://causelists.nic.in/kerala/index1.html (and sub-pages). and http://sbt.co.in/~pad/INDEX.html (use the URL in full). 4. This did not exist in 2.* version of Iceweasel. Iceape, however crashed at random, not just while closing windows / tabs. It almost always crashes when clearing browser history. Thanks. -- Mahesh T. Bug#571138: iceweasel: random crashes at page/tab close of Iceweasel and iceape
Hi, I have the same issue and I think its related to the new xulrunner-1.9.1 package or libmozjs2d (both version 1.9.1.8-3) from the weekend. Because before the upgrade I had no problems with iceweasel. Best regards, Matthias PS: I had no time yet to downgrade the packages and find out which one is related. But I hope this hint helps. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org

Package: iceweasel Version: 3.5.8-1 Severity: normal (I have tried following the instructions in the page appearing before reportbus reports bugs. But, first, the background) Iceape and Iceweasel crashes randomly. I have tried various flash plugins, but it appears that flash player is not the problem.
