Bug#573296: source package inscludes debian/substvars and debian/debhelper.log

2010-03-10 Thread Michal Suchanek hramr...@centrum.cz
Package: debhelper
Version: 7.4.15
Severity: normal

Hello

I built a package with the rules.tiny example rules and the
debian/substvars and debian/debhelper.log files end up in the source
package (specifically in the diff file).

This is obviously the result of rebuilding the package multiple times
to try out different patches.

This is obviously the result of rebuilding the package multiple times
 to try out different patches.

Please provide a package I can use to reproduce this, or I have to
assume it's the result of some sort of user error, since

a) dpkg-buildpackage runs debian/rules clean before creating the source package
b) debian/rules clean runs dh_clean
c) dh_clean removes all that

Most common user error would probably be removing or renaming a
binary package in debian/control w/o first running dh_clean.
