Package: ftp.debian.org Severity: normal Hi,
I'd like to request the removal of package tz-brasil from unstable+testing. Reasons: - tz-brasil was created as an alternative for brazilian daylight timezone changes, that were sometimes reported by government just a few days before it begins. The main reason of this package is to fetch the timezone from an updated server some times per week. - since last year, the government decided to set a start and end date for this. So, we will know in advance. And the rules can be added to tzdata package.
