Bug#581785: Further investigation

2010-11-28 Thread denk

I looked into it again and found out the following:

in /usr/share/hplip/ui4/systemtray.py I added after line 655:

log.debug(icon)

then I started hp-systray -g in debug mode and the relevant output is
the following:

hp-systray(qt4)[5380]: debug:
file:///usr/share/hplip/data/images/32x32/error.png

this line occurs because of my additional line in systemtray.py and
shows that

the path to the icon for the notification is correct.

As I don't know how the notification system works exactly could you
please
look into it again to find out why the icon is not shown although the
correct path to the icon

seems to be delivered to the notification system!?

Regards

Bug#581785:

2010-09-10 Thread denk
Is there any progress on this? It's a small bug, I know, but it's
annoying!

Could you tell me your conjectures, please!? Eventually I can try to
help with further information.

An idea of mine: as of with network-manager-gnome the notifications in
kde have the proper icons, you could ask them how they achieve that.
Could it be because of hplip doesn't install its icons into
/usr/share/icons/hicolor which is the default place, I think? Correct
me, if I'm wrong.

Bug#581785: Icons still not visible in kde notifications

2010-07-04 Thread denk

Hello,

as I've sent you already on June 15th the problem with missing icons in
kde notifications is not fixed (e.g. the attached picture of that mail
from June 15th). The last uploaded hplip-packages don't fix that, too!
Could you please look into it again? For your information: the icons in
kde notifcations of network-manager-gnome are shown correctly, perhaps
you can use this package as an example how to fix that problem!?

Thanks.

Bug#581785: hplip: Icons in notifications shown in KDE [for example during print] are missing

2010-05-15 Thread denk
Package: hplip
Version: 3.10.2-3
Severity: normal
Tags: sid

Hello,

every action/information of hplip, for example Print job started or No
paper, is shown by the KDE notification system. The icons in those messages
are missing though. Instead of them a question mark is displayed.

I don't know, if Debian can solve this or upstream is responsible for that. If
you need further information, please ask.

Thanks in advance.
