Bug#583609: #583609 some database entries are cut off on non-ASCII chars
The problem arises from attempting to write non-ISO-8859-1 data, which contains control information. The issue can be addressed by the user modifying his resource settings, to compensate for the mis-encoded data. -- Thomas E.
