Bug#591480: extlinux: COM32R is not a valid ..

i use extlinux on amd64 and there its working fine.
on i386 however i get the error vesamenu.c32 is not an COM32R image.

The file is there and file states, it should be an correct image.
i tried the extlinux version from unstables and testing with no result.

extlinux suggests no packages.

please explain *exactely* what you're doing. apart from that, vesamenu
works flawlessly, so this is some user error here anyway.
