Hi, here's the log, there were like 60 processes already, when i closed

If you disable automatic updates (in the Settings menu), does the
problem stop? I'm guessing that it's related to timeline loading,
somehow.

OK, still not much to go on.

Can you run, in a terminal, choqok --nofork choqok.log 21? Use
that for a while, at least until you've observed the buggy behavior,
then exit choqok and send me the log file.

Thanks.

sure, here you go:

stare...@kosmik1:~$ strace -p 11800

Process 11800 attached - interrupt to quit

select(8, [7], [], NULL, NULL^C unfinished ...

Process 11800 detached

lsof output attached

Huh. I had sort of guessed that maybe there were issues with choqok and
the versions of Qt and KDE in squeeze, since I do most of my testing on
sid. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem likely that this is the case. I've
tested on squeeze and wasn't able to reproduce your problem.

Can you send me the output of the following commands run against the pid
of one of these stuck processes?

 1. lsof -p pid

 2. strace -p pid (run this for ~10 seconds or so)

 Thanks.

I believe that when I've seen this happen there has been some kind of

Hi Noah,

Yes - I'm connected (to twitter). My timeline is updating w/out any fuzz.
The processess are spawned every couple minutes as I observed. I've seen the

Hmm. I think I've managed to reproduce this problem. Only with KDE 4.4
(what's in squeeze). The problem isn't present in sid.

I'll see if I can figure out more...
