Bug#597082: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Patch attached (was Please add support for Synaptics ClickPads)
Gerardo Malazdrewicz gera...@malazdrewicz.com.ar (09/05/2012): Click and drag works at first, then it stops working. If you want us to track that, please file a new bug with reportbug; but to be even more effective, a bug report on http://bugs.freedesktop.org/ would be nicer, product being xorg, and component being Input/synaptics. Thanks already. Mraw, KiBi. signature.asc Description: Digital signature

Gerardo Malazdrewicz gera...@malazdrewicz.com.ar (10/05/2012): Hmm. Restarted X, working since then, including click and drag. Oops, I really should have read both mails before replying. The point in my first reply stands: please open a new bug if you're still having (or discovering new) troubles. ;-) Mraw, KiBi. signature.asc Description: Digital signature
Bug#597082: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics: Patch attached (was Please add support for Synaptics ClickPads)
Hi! * Cyril Brulebois k...@debian.org [120507 10:59]: Please consider adding the attached patch. It is the referenced before in this bug, refreshed for ABI 12. It made my Clickpad functional again. 1.6.0 in unstable should have support for ClickPads. Please confirm. Many thanks for the notice and all the work involved. I can confirm that 1.6.0 in unstable works very well with my netbooks clickpad. In the logs I see entries like: [37.744] (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad (type: TOUCHPAD, id 11) Moving mouse cursor works, left and right mouse buttons work and drag'n drop works, too out of the box. So far I have no middle mouse button, though, but I guess than can be somehow configured. Many thanks again!
