There are two ways how this could have happened 1) either user somehow unknowingly deselected that option or played manually with the preferences file 2) something weird happened while lyx converted the pref file from lyx 1.5 -> lyx 1.6. Anyway even if 2) is true (and I dont remember similar problem reports) we are today at >= 2.1 versions where ->1.6 conversions are irrelevant. As such we can close this bug. Pavel

If I change that for, say, PDF (pdflatex) so that it is ticked, then that particular option shows up in the Export menu all the time, as you ought to expect.
