reading the entry in `changelog.Debian.gz` for 12-1 [1] it reads

        media-player-info (12-1) unstable; urgency=low
        
          * New upstream release
        
        […]

But there is no file `NEWS`.

        $ LANG=C ls /usr/share/doc/media-player-info/NEWS*
        ls: cannot access /usr/share/doc/media-player-info/NEWS*: No such file 
or directory
