Compiling the source package gets an error:

This refers to this line in chips.h:

updates *add_node( const sensors_chip_name *, const sensors_feature * );

Downloading the tarball of 0.70 from upstream and compiling that gets the
same error

I have lm-sensors 1:3.1.2-6 installed.

I forgot to mention why I wanted to compile xsensors.

sensors and xsensors find the sensor but wmtemp does not:
