 bluntly: Testing grinds to a halt until this is fixed.

You can try the unofficial testing snapshot release in the meantime [0].
There are no guarantees of a constantly working testing installer
right now.

fwiw, that won't happen automagically, as busybox is on britney's needs
approval from d-i RM list.

I haven't tried it on a DVD or CD install yet.  Is it worth-while to  
do that? or will that need the upgraded busybox as well?

Otavio, what do you think of this? Testing is currently uninstallable
because of the missing sha256sum binary in busybox. So, I doubt that
allowing the new busybox to enter testing would harm more than the
current situation.

I'm afraid that anything that deals with downloading Packages files
from network mirrors will fail in some way. Probably only a DVD or CD
install without trying to use a network mirror will be fine.
