Reverting hte folloving commit fixes the problem for me.

Right, we introduced the same problem in 2.6.32-32 and fixed it (so far
as I'm aware) in -33.  There is still discussion about this upstream but
I'll apply the same unofficial fix for now.

Does not look that way to me.

The -33 linux-image-2.6-amd64 wants linux-image-2.6.38-2-amd64 of
which I downloaded the source and applied the reversed patch to it.
